SAFETY INFORMATION
Responsible use
General minimum requirements for selection, mounting, inspection and use. Model-specific approvals always take precedence.
1. Permitted environment
Use products only on a suitable and lawfully operated shooting range and in accordance with the range approval, range rules, operator instructions and all applicable safety requirements.
2. Model and configuration
Use only the model and combination of target body, base, mount, support section, fasteners and retaining parts confirmed in writing. Unapproved modifications or replacement parts may impair safety.
3. Ammunition and minimum distance
The series approval for all D and X models covers factory-loaded full-metal-jacket (FMJ) ammunition only, from .22 LR to .45 ACP plus .223 Rem. The minimum shooting distance is 2 m, including for .223 Rem. Handloaded or reloaded ammunition has not been tested and is not approved. Hard-core/steel-core, tracer, incendiary, armour-piercing and explosive ammunition is excluded.
4. Target orientation and backstop
Target orientation, angle, movement, lateral clearances, backstop and environment must correspond to the confirmed configuration and the requirements of the responsible operator.
5. Inspection before every use
- Inspect the target body for cracks, missing material, permanent deformation and damaged attachment points.
- Inspect bases, connectors, supports, screws, bolts, rings and retaining parts for secure fit and damage.
- Check the setup for stable positioning and unintended movement.
- Perform an additional inspection after unusual loading or visible change.
6. Removal and replacement
Immediately remove damaged, loose, incomplete or permanently deformed components from service. Repair or reuse is permitted only after specialist assessment and written approval.
7. Operator responsibility
Product information does not replace the shooting-range operator's responsibility for approval, local risk assessment, supervision, instruction and compliance with range rules. Conversely, operator approval does not replace missing product approval.
8. Safety contact
In the event of uncertainty, damage or unusual behaviour, stop using the product and contact anfrage@target-eagle.com. Model code, setup, use data and photographs support assessment.
Technical selection note
Model, ammunition type, distance, mounting and range environment must be matched to one another. We compare your information with the documented technical conditions for the D and X Series and confirm the suitable configuration in the quotation.
